At the beginning, I was tasked to design the device. and to tackle all the necessary aims, Portable, wearable and storage. I had to research into different fields.
The medical field was the first area I looked into, the field has inventions that are highly ergonomic and the geometry of all are very well designed. The materials are generally light weight and flecible. Spinal support as the first subject for reasearch became an inpiration to the project for the wearable function.
Deployable System:
To create a structure with that is expandable, yet not using soft materials, it would come down to deployable structures, that are somtimes used in small scale membrane structures, it is intersting to see the potential of it become tied with my project at this point.
